World of Coca-Cola!

Brandon and Amanda left early the next morning to head to Newberry's homecoming football game so Chris and I explored a little bit of Atlanta. I have wanted to go to the Coke factory for a long time so after finding a cute little pizza place in Midtown to eat lunch, we headed towards the World of Coca-Cola!

The tour started in a showroom full of old Coca-Cola memorabilia, including a syrup fountain dating back to the 1800's.

The tour then continued to a theater where they showed a documentary called "The Happiness Factory." It was a cute little animated film that showed what "really" happens when you put a quarter in a drink machine. Then the tour became self-guided and we got to look at five different exhibits.

The first one we went into had the history of Coca Cola from the first recipe, to bottling rights, and advertising strategies. It even had a place where you could attempt to rewrite the Coca Cola logo.

Chris's logo needs a little practice.

Our favorite advertising artifacts were the sports-related ones (of course). They had everything from Olympic torches to Mean Joe Green and tons of World Cup and soccer related ads.

We need a USA version of these!

Then we got to walk through an assembly line where they were bottling our souvenir bottles of Coca Cola and see how the assembly works. Then we headed upstairs and checked out the 4-D movie with moving seats and 3-D glasses. They even had water spraying on our seats and air blowing on us. I couldn't stop laughing!

The next exhibit was all about pop-culture and had tons of art made either about Coca Cola products or out of aluminum cans and such. So neat! My favorite two bottles:

Then we got to watch some really old commercials and hit the tasting room with over 70 different Coca Cola products from across the world. It was such a neat experience and I highly recommend it for anyone!!
