ATL trip!

This past weekend Chris and I made a trip to Atlanta with two of our friends, Brandon and Amanda. Our two-year anniversary is coming up and instead of exchanging presents we decided to plan a fun trip somewhere. Since we are both big sports fans, I started looking up nearby sporting events we could attend and finally decided on a Braves game. Chris, Brandon, and Amanda have all been Braves fans for a long time but it was my first time at a game (actually I haven't been to any MLB game since I was little - and I don't remember it much).

Luckily, Brandon and Amanda knew about a location in the stadium that had all-you-can-eat and drink tickets. Since we were coming from out of town, we decided to splurge for these tickets rather than try and get dinner elsewhere and then buy the ridiculously expensive drinks at Turner Field.

After an extremely confusing trip through the MARTA (Atlanta's railway system) and meeting an adorable ex-MLB player and former Braves hitting coach, we finally arrived at Turner Field! We all loved our seats in the outfield along the third base line and had a blast!

It was pretty chilly as soon as the sun went down so before the game started we all got some new Braves gear. Chris and Brandon got new hats while Amanda and I got matching sweatshirts!

We stopped and posed for some cheesy pictures on the way out and headed downtown (where we got incredibly lost on the Marta, but finally managed to find our hotel).

The Braves may have lost the game Friday (and Saturday!) but they had a huge win on Sunday, accompanied by a Padres loss and clinched the wild-card spot. Go Braves!
